Anti-Valentine's Cupcakes... LOL

Made these for a customer yesterday.  Fun to play with this idea!  These are dark chocolate raspberry cupcakes with a light raspberry cream cheese frosting.  Quite delicious!

 Wore my cupcake apron and watched a series of Cupcake Wars episodes as I worked today, too.  LOL

On a mission

I have collected a variety of cookbooks over the years but the one thing I have not collected were books on cupcakes, making specialty frostings and books on decorating those little gems.  We, daughter, youngest and I,  made a trip to Barnes & Noble today to get a free cupcake for our littlest boy for his birthday (sign up for the kids club on BN and they will send you a free treat coupon for birthdays).  While we were there I browsed the magazines and cookbooks like I always do and found these little treasures...
